THE SET OF FREQUENCY
MULTIPLER
is used in complex with Panoramic SWR and attenuation meter - P2-69
is intended for medical-and -biology research.
The Set comprises a source of microwave (electromagnetic) signal, operating at quadratic or
third harmonic of Panorama sweep-oscillator, quasi-optics system for adjustment and canalization
of harmonic to the object stage, besides, it is possible to indicate the radiation level transmitted through the object stage at Panorama display.
Frequency tripler
comprises a waveguide construction with input waveguide section ainxbin =
3,8mm x 1,9mm and output waveguide section aoutx bout = 1,0mm x 0,3mm
loaded to diagonal output horn connected to the output flange of tripler
waveguide. Cutoff frequency of output waveguide fcut ~ c/2aout = 150GHz (where c - velocity of light in vacuum).
Frequency tripler is positioned in fasten so that E component of electromagnetic field irradiated by horn is parallel to the plane of the object plate.
Output power P within frequency band 156-237 GHz was tested by calibrated detector head and appeared to exceed 1mW on the input power rate Pin ~ 3-5mW.
Gain flatness within operating band is not less than 10dB.
Gain flatness is strongly depended on adjustment upon quasi-optic line between transmitting and receiving horns.
Detector head for the tripler
channel comprises a waveguide construction with input waveguide by section
ain x bin = 1,0mm x 0,3mm,
which is loaded to diagonal input horn made in the body of detector.
Cutoff frequency of the input waveguide fcut~ c/2a is 150GHz. Detector head is positioned in mounting fixing so,
that electric component E of the electromagnetic field, which is received by horn, is to be parallel to the plane of the object plate.
Radius of curvature for
Spherical mirror R is about 250 mm,
it is used for canalization of the reflected signal (from the object
plate) to the receiving horn of the detector's camera. Besides, spherical
mirror increases the power density of radiation in the plane of the object
plate. It is possible due to the return of the signal power, which passed
through radiated bio object.
